Best of Glee Season 2

Corny Christmas episodes and hasty weddings aside, Season 2 lived up to it's expectations for the most part. Here were some of moments that maintained Glee's reputation as one of the freshest TV show for teenagers:
Dalton and the Warblers Esp Blaine

I think Blaine (played by Darren Criss) was everybody's favorite character (and probably still is. Or was until he turned into the Poster Needy Boyfriend) Some people might say that introducing a whole new school (Dalton Academy) was a bold move for Glee but it worked. A new atmosphere that gave Kurt room to spread his wings was a good idea. Besides I think private school is awesome and everyone is secretly jealous of us (just kidding. Sort of) But I think that having Kurt transfer schools proved a good point. Not everyone can just "tough it out" Sometimes you have to leave school and it really doesn't make you a coward . And you should never let anyone intimidate you. Ever.

Funeral
When a show plays the Death card, it needs to be effective. And the death of Sue's sister was. It showed us the softer side of Sue and reminded us all that life is short and that we need to make the most of it (now whose being corny?) This is coming from someone who went to her grandpa's funeral on Saturday. When executed right few things are so moving or so solemn.

Rachel's Party
I just found the whole thing funny. And it's nice to know there are parties more awkward than mine.

Blaine Going from Jeremiah to Kurt

For those of you who don't know Jeremiah is the boy Blaine likes when Kurt first meets him. I liked that Blaine was not immediately attracted to Kurt just because they were both gay but they had to get to know each other as friends first. I think everyone was counting down the episodes until they shared their first kiss and when they did the entire country (make that the world) took to the internet about how cute it was (and it was pretty cute). Now that's how you do romance! Build it up slowly until every time they are in the same room we are biting our lips with anticipation. Perfectly executed.

Sue's Relationship With Her Mom
Yay backstory! We learn a bit more about Sue Sylvester other than the fact that she is not just some cheer leading coach with a vendetta against the Glee club. And now I finally know exactly what a Nazi hunter is!

Karosky

A closeted homephobic football player who turns out to actually be gay. Sounds so cliche you would think I hate it. But at the time I watched this I didn't know that Glee ripped off Degrassi's story line with Riley being gay. But when I actually went back and watched those Degrassi episodes, I realized that Glee focuses from the view of the victim (Kurt) while Degrassi focused on the view of the perpetrator (Karosky) Either way writers have finally figured out that there is something sort of homeosexual about running around in tights with other guys.
Lucy Caboosey
See the resemblance? Good cuz neither do I

We all know how much I love a good backstory.  I also hate when girls are mean for no reason. So a backstory about why Quinn is so mean is perfect. Yay for backstory! Yay for character development! And it was so sweet when Finn took Quinn's (aka Lucy's picture) and put it in his wallet. That's sweeter than any crown could ever be.
Mash Up Competition
I wish Mr. Schuester could do more contests. Competitions are always good for plot twists and drama. And I love when Glee does mash ups rather than just a simple cover. Any random person on Youtube can do a cover but it takes talent to do a mashup.
 New Staff Additions
New additions to the staff are a good way to remind us that teachers are people too (something a kid like me often forgets) In this season we saw the introduction of two new staff members- Coach "Beast" and Hollie Holiday (which sounds like the name of an elf) I liked Beast as a character- she's a football coach, she's not there just for decoration and I actually kind of find her inspiring. Hollie kind of irritated me at times but overall I felt that she really cared about her students and that's what matters. Both of them were a lot less irritating than Sue who was off organizing "Leagues of Doom" and painting her face green. I wish I had seen a lot more of them and a lot less than Sue. Note: Will kisses both Beast and Hollie. Is it like some "Welcome to the Staff" ritual?

Leave your comments so I know your not a zombie! I love feedback be it positive or negative but constructive. Either way I hoped you enjoyed this post and please check in again for my next one.
