Worst of Glee Season 1

So this is it. Where it all began. Let me just say that this is the only season I own on DVD so I think I've seen every episode at least ten times to the point where I don't even need to think about the things that bugged me most about the season. And now I am going to share those things with you:
Everyone's Funk
Episode: Funk
I feel like everybody in Glee is always either in a funk or depressed or blue or upset about something. These kids need life coaches because they never really take responsibilities for their own actions. This episode pissed me off a little. The only people right now who should be in a funk are Rachel (getting egged by your boyfriend is sort of depressing) and Quinn (baby hormones and all that) The rest of the club (including you Mr. Schuester) need to stop whining and look ahead to Regionals. If you focused more on the singing than on your feelings maybe you would have won.
The Ambiguous Ending to Jesse and Rachel
Episode: Funk
One minute Jesse is helping Rachel locate her birth mother. The next minute he's flinging eggs at her in the parking lot. Is it any wonder that I'm slightly confused?
Kurt
Episode: The Entire Season
I don't mind Kurt all that much but sometimes he gets on my nerve. And he is so boring. He is gay, he is a fashionista and he likes Beyonce. He is the stereotypical gay down to a T. It's like someone googled "Characteristics of a Gay Guy" and combined them all into one character known as Kurt. It feels like a story I've read waaayyy too many times before.
Conservative Bashing
Episode: Ballad (Mostly)
Like many television shows Glee has a blatantly liberal agenda which doesn't bother me all that much since I try to ignore it.  However when they painted the Fabrays as conservative hypocrites, well  that really pissed me off. Why did they have to drag the snide political comments in? Not all Republicans would kick out their pregnant daughter and not all conservative fathers would cheat on their wives. And her parents have the right to be mad and/or disappointed with her. I shudder to think what would happen if I got pregnant. Poor Finn though. He got all of the blame from her parents and he never actually did anything.
April
Episodes: The Rhodes Less Traveled and Home

I don't like characters who refuse to try and who let other people do the work for them. Although she turned out all right in the end, her whole existence sort of annoyed. She was like a child that needed a good grounding and I was annoyed with how much patience Will gave her. Also where was Terri when Will was out bowling with April and meeting her at unowned houses? Terri is so controlling Will can't spend a single second with Emma but it's all right for him to spend all afternoon with April?
"Our Hormones Are Driving Us Too Crazy To Abstain"
Episode: Showmance
I think that was the stupidest comment made by any character throughout the entire season and that includes all the crazy things Brittany says. "Our hormones are driving us to crazy to abstain"???? Sounds like the justification a rapist would use. "Uh, sorry officer but my hormones were driving me too crazy" "Oh you're right. You're a teenager. You can't control yourself. You have the self restraint of an animal. Carry on" Nice message to America's youth, Glee.

This post is on the short side because Season One actually didn't have that many things that annoyed me. That's probably the reason why I kept watching it. Make sure you catch my last post on Glee Season 1 and see what I'm doing next.
